The Attfield Theatre Company Ltd is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy.

Background

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed solely by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR), the data controller is The Attfield Theatre Company Ltd, whose registered office is at The Guildhall, Bailey Head, Oswestry, SY11 1PZ

  1. Information we may collect from you:

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in our membership form, i.e. your name, address, phone number and e-mail address
  • Dates and amount of payment of membership fees
  • Dates and amount of payment of season tickets
  • Seating preferences
  1. IP address and cookies

We do not collect or record any information about your computer, should you choose to communicate with us electronically, either through our web site or by e-mail.

  1. Storing your personal data

Your information is transferred from your completed membership form and stored on a computer spreadsheet, which is password protected. An officer of the Attfield Theatre Company Ltd, currently our Membership Secretaries, Malcolm Lord and/or Helen Roberts, administer this.

The data is stored using a hosted cloud service which is encrypted, password protected and backed up.

Your completed membership forms are filed and stored in a locked filing cabinet, for a period of 1 year. They are then shredded.

  1. Uses made of the information

We use the information held about you in the following ways:

  • To send reminders of membership renewal dates
  • To send members our newsletter
  • To send reminders of season ticket renewal dates
  • To send tickets to season ticket holders
  • To notify members of new productions
  • To appeal to members for stewarding positions, during our productions
  • To appeal to members for occasional casting or crew positions
  1. 5. Sharing your information

We do not share your personal information with any third party, outside of the Attfield Theatre.

  1. 6. Retention of Information

Information is kept on a spreadsheet for all current members, as long as the membership fees are up to date.

If the fees are not paid within the 8-week period after the AGM in September, the details are removed from the current membership list and transferred to an archive file.  We will no longer send you any information.

Details are permanently deleted on request, or when a member moves out of the area.

  1. Your rights

We will never process personal data for marketing purposes or disclose information to third parties for marketing purposes.

You can review and change your personal information at any time, by contacting us at here. You can request to have your data erased, and we will act upon the request as soon as possible, but no longer than one month.

  1. Access to Information

The GDPR gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the GDPR. We have an obligation to provide you with any personal data we hold, on request.

  1. Changes to our policy

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
